Stone and concrete surfaces like this take a beating over time. Algae, dirt, and moisture work their way into every crevice - and what was once a sharp, clean entry feature starts looking dull and neglected. Most homeowners don't even notice how much it's changed until they see the before and after side by side.

Here's what we were working with - a stacked stone wall with a concrete cap right at the front entry. The cap had gone dark with built-up grime and biological growth. The stone itself had lost its contrast and depth. It's the kind of thing that quietly drags down the whole look of a home's exterior.

We came in with a thorough power wash focused on getting into the texture of both the stone and the concrete cap without causing damage. Stacked stone has a lot of surface area between the layers, so you have to be deliberate about how you approach it. Too much pressure in the wrong spot and you're doing more harm than good. The goal is always a clean result that respects the material.

The difference is pretty clear. The concrete cap went from dark and stained back to a noticeably lighter, cleaner finish. The stone recaptured its natural depth and color variation. An entry feature like this is one of the first things people see - keeping it clean makes a real impact on how a property presents itself.

Consistent exterior maintenance is one of those things that pays off quietly. It protects surfaces, keeps small issues from turning into bigger ones, and keeps a property looking sharp year-round. That's what we're focused on at LH Home and Exterior - the details that actually make a difference.
